WIPERS HISTORY
(How it started)

The idea behind the Wipers started off as a recording project.
I looked at music as art more than entertainment.
I got that concept early on as a 11 year old kid.
I was very lucky to have my own professional record
cutting lathe when I was in 7th grade due to my father
being involved in the broadcast industry.
I would cut wax records for friends at school,
mostly of songs off the radio and learned the art
of record making long before learning to play music.

I spent hours looking at grooves I cut in wax
under the microscope attached to the lathe and loved
the way music looked and modulated within the grooves.

It gave me a different outlook on music.
It got to the point where I needed to create my own
sounds and motion into the walls of these grooves.
I was lucky to be able to record songs from
start to finish, and be a part of the final mastering
stage when the LP was cut to wax.
